How To Clean A Plastic Radiator Shroud

OP super stock Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 930 The states	I recently picked up an original plastic fan shroud for my car. It is in great shape just needs a good cleaning. I tried washing information technology and scrubbing it with a brush merely the dirt on it is like baked on. Does anyone know what I could utilize to clean the clay off without damaging the surface of the shroud?

Best to not assume that the storage bottle is the same fabric in the shroud. The bottle has dissimilar requirements for its job than a shroud. Try Simple Green get-go. Amd then perhaps a force per unit area washer. I Live Hither Joined: January 2003 Posts: 17,586 So Near, Nonetheless So Far	I've used wax & grease remover and Simple Light-green, then some Armor-All. I adopt to non pigment them, but I can understand that sometimes there's no other way to make them dainty.

As well Many Posts Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 28,312 Cincinnati, Ohio	I blasted the plactic stuff that comes on challengers with a pressure washer. Information technology did a slap-up job for me and I did't do annihilation to them later except spray WD twoscore on them. They yet look skillful today.

master Joined: January 2007 Posts: vii,664 IN	Unproblematic Greenish and a pressure level washer has worked well for me on plastic chassis parts like the shroud. On somewhat nasty nether machine parts similar runway mounted splash shields I accept used a light coat of Krylon semi flat black which seems to hold upward well. I wouldn't do that on a shroud as it might merely fleck and look crummy... if needed I'd utilize the 3 footstep SEM plastic pigment process (cleaner, adhesive promoting primer wash, black finish coat).

Uncreative Title Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 3,119 St. Charles, MO	I gave mine a good cleaning with Unproblematic Dark-green and and then shot it with a Krylon Fusion (for plastics) spray bomb. Surprised how good it looks--maybe a little glossier than stock. No flaking.
